Matriarch Tulsi Virani is deeply concerned about the new life of her grandson, Eklavya. She strongly feels that his wife, Maya, is concealing a dark secret from the rest of the family members. Unexpressed apprehensions hang heavy in the air as tension mounts within Shantiniketan.
Tulsi Finds the Hidden Evidence
The suspicion in Tulsi's mind grows during the family's annual Satyanarayan Puja. She finds Maya very nervous throughout the ceremony. Later, Tulsi goes through Maya's private drawers secretly. She finds a hidden letter there. The letter reveals that Maya is not who she claims to be at all. It suggests that Maya has married Eklavya only for the Virani family's immense wealth.
Maya Faces an Agonising Confrontation
Tulsi is thoroughly devastated by the shocking contents of the letter. She immediately marches to the temple area to confront Maya. Tulsi asks her beloved daughter-in-law to tell the truth. Maya acts like an innocent child, and totally denies all the serious accusations. She sobs, dramatically falling on the floor. Eklavya rushes to support his wife, oblivious of the whole situation. Just as the confrontation reaches its peak, an unexpected guest arrives at the Virani mansion. A mysterious man walks in, dressed in a black coat and looking very stern. He introduces himself as a lawyer representing a client. The lawyer then hands a file to Mihir Virani, leaving everyone totally stunned.
The lawyer announces that Maya is already legally married to someone else. The world of the Virani family collapses into chaos.
