Hyderabad went absolutely WILD on Saturday night as thousands of fans turned Ramoji Film City into a sea of screams! The man who gave us Baahubali and RRR, the one and only SS Rajamouli, finally pulled the curtains off his next mega monster – titled Varanasi – and trust us, this one looks like it’s going to blow every record out of the water in 2027!
From the codename “GlobeTrotter” that kept the internet guessing for years, the film is now officially Varanasi – a crazy time-travel adventure mixed with Hindu mythology, made specially for IMAX screens. Rajamouli himself called it the toughest movie he has ever attempted. One massive sequence alone, inspired by a super-important episode from the Ramayana, took 60 days to shoot! “While writing every scene and dialogue, I felt like I was floating in another world,” the director told the roaring crowd.
The Dream Team That Broke the Internet
- Mahesh Babu made the grandest entry imaginable – riding a huge mechanical white bull straight onto the stage! Covered in blood, holding a trident, looking like an angry god ready for war – the first look poster gave fans goosebumps. “This is a once-in-a-lifetime film. I will make all of you proud – the whole country will be proud,” promised the Superstar, and the cheers nearly lifted the roof!
- Priyanka Chopra Jonas is BACK in Indian cinema after ages, and she looked like a total queen in white! Playing the mysterious Mandakini, our Desi Girl couldn’t stop smiling. “I only know him as MB – the legendary Mahesh Babu,” she laughed, and thanked his family for making Hyderabad feel like home. The moment she waved, the crowd lost it!
- South superstar Prithviraj Sukumaran is the big villain Kumbha, and he warned everyone that the role is “physically and emotionally exhausting.” Rajamouli’s reply in pure Malayalam – “Enda mashe, adipoli!” – had the entire venue in splits.
The Event Was Basically a Mini Festival!
Picture this: a gigantic 110×130-foot LED screen, fake Varanasi ghats built on stage, fireworks exploding everywhere, live music performances, and fans chanting non-stop. Mahesh Babu’s little daughter Sitara stole hearts when she shouted “Jai Babu!” on mic – cuteness overload!
The teaser looked mind-blowing (even though Rajamouli jokingly complained that a drone leak spoiled their surprise rehearsal the day before). It’s all about one hero traveling across time and continents, fighting mythic forces that will leave your jaw on the floor.
Mark Your Calendars – 2027 is Going to be Epic!
Varanasi is slated to storm cinemas worldwide in 2027 in full IMAX glory. After Baahubali raised the bar and RRR conquered the Oscars, Rajamouli is clearly aiming for something even bigger, wilder and more emotional.
Fans are already calling it “the biggest Indian film ever made.” Are you ready to travel through time with Mahesh Babu? Drop your excitement level in the comments – because Hyderabad just witnessed history in the making! 🔥🚩
