Hyderabad was totally out of control on Saturday night! A huge crowd of screaming fans turned Ramoji Film City into an ocean of jubilation. SS Rajamouli, the genius of direction, finally revealed his next mega-volume-project to the public.
His new film, which was initially referred to as "GlobeTrotter," is formally known as Varanasi. This wild adventure that involves time-travel and Hindu mythology is a pure IMAX spectacle.
Rajamouli described Varanasi as the most difficult film he has ever made. One enormous episode based on the Ramayana took 60 days of shooting. The director expressed his overwhelming emotion with the screenplay. "I felt like I was not of this world," he told the audience who were making a lot of noise. This giant idea is looking to break all the records in 2027.
The unveiling of the cast was something out of a movie. Mahesh Babu could not have made a more spectacular entrance onto the stage. A large mechanical white bull was his steed. With a trident in his hand, he resembled an irate god of destruction going to battle. Mahesh Babu assured that he would take the entire country on a triumph ride.
After long time, Priyanka Chopra Jonas came back to Indian film industry. Playing the role of enigmatic Mandakini, she was ravishing. She sweetly referred to Mahesh Babu as "MB, the legendary Mahesh Babu." Kumbha the big bad is played by south superstar Prithviraj Sukumaran. This happening was a festival in itself. It had Varanasi ghat replicas, fireworks, and live music.
Varanasi is going to be a massive hit with IMAX fans all over the world in 2027. After Baahubali and RRR, Rajamouli is targeting something even bigger. The fans are already dubbing this as the biggest Indian film ever made. Hyderabad really saw the making of history.
