One could hardly find a dull moment in last evening’s Jhanak episode. The play of emotions was like a roller coaster ride - ups, downs, and unexpected turns. The show’s focus was basically on Arshi’s audacious scheme and the fallout she didn’t expect.
To begin with, Arshi was, literally, sweating to save her from Anirudh. Her act was so obvious that it only made Anirudh more and more suspicious of her. However, as the story goes, the whole family was there to feel the temperature rising between the two of them.
In a daring move, Arshi confronted the one person she thought was most likely to cause her trouble. She was under the impression that she was being clever and strong, yet her plan totally backfired! Her escalation not only failed to ease the pressure but actually made it worse and put her in the line of fire before everyone.
The turning point of the story is when Jhanak, who is often the one dragged into the middle of these family spats, decided to step outside and do the right thing. She was truthful and, rightly, her words had the desired effect. This made Arshi understand the error of her ways. At the end of the day, Arshi found herself without company but that of her embarrassment and remorse because of her plan’s fiasco, while at the same time, Anirudh saw the breakdown of everything.
It was an episode that made us see how lies could break apart and, ultimately, the truth would come out.
