Jhanak 13th March 2026 Written Update: Rishi and Jhanak Meet at Award Ceremony, Tensions Rise

The 13th March 2026 episode of Jhanak begins with an emotional scene as Jhanak tells Aniruddh that she doesn't want to get ready for the award ceremony. Aniruddh gently persuades her, saying she has to accompany him for his respect and asks her to wear the saree he brought for her. Jhanak reluctantly agrees but breaks down crying, saying her heart is in unbearable pain that nothing can heal.

Aniruddh tries to give her hope, suggesting that Rishi may remember everything today. Jhanak firmly tells Aniruddh that she won't accept the bravery award. Aniruddh doesn't push her but suggests she should make that declaration on stage. He also reveals that Rishi will come to the function, and Aditi may come too. In a poignant moment, Aniruddh expresses hope that one day Aditi will be proud of her sister's achievements, though he fears he may not live to see that day. Jhanak scolds him for talking about death, reminding him that he already left her once and can't do it again.

Aniruddh shares his belief that Aditi is inherently a good person who has changed due to circumstances, and he is confident the old Aditi will return someday. Jhanak agrees that Aditi is a good girl and admits she is emotionally attached to her sister. However, she expresses doubt that Rishi will ever remember her, revealing that even after seeing her eyes, Rishi couldn't recognize her.

Aniruddh asks her to get ready quickly. As Jhanak goes inside, Aniruddh offers a heartfelt prayer to God, asking for Jhanak's happiness to be restored and for Rishi to recognize Jhanak today. His silent plea captures the desperation of a father who has found redemption through his daughter's love.

Meanwhile, chaos unfolds at Rishi's house. Putul alerts the family that Rishi is screaming. Dadabhai notes they are already late for the function. The source of the commotion is revealed when Rishi and Aditi appear—Rishi is furious that Aditi is behaving like his owner by choosing his outfit for him.

Aditi defends herself, saying she only selected his clothes and he overreacted. Tanushri tries to diffuse the situation, calling it a small matter. But Rishi firmly states he is not a child and knows what to wear. When Aditi asks how she can tolerate his anger, Rishi coldly tells her to leave if she can't handle it. Dritimaan advises Aditi not to force Rishi into anything. Sanjhbati tells Rishi to wear whatever he likes, and Indumati urges everyone to leave.

Rishi then drops a bombshell, saying he doesn't want to attend because it's not his function. When Aditi also refuses to go, Rishi calls her ungrateful since Jhanak saved his life. Aditi fires back, acknowledging Jhanak's help but questioning why her own sacrifices are being ignored.

Rishi reveals the real reason for his reluctance—he feels ashamed that as a police officer, he needed Jhanak to save him. Dadabhai questions his attitude, and Abhimanyu pushes everyone to leave. In a private moment, Tanushri tells Aditi to fight for her rights, and Indumati assures Aditi that no one can take what belongs to her.

In another subplot, Anjana and Bablu get ready to leave as Aniruddh has sent a car for them. Arshi confronts them, accusing them of lying about not knowing the function details. She taunts them for not caring about her and Aditi.

Bablu expresses frustration about the lack of peace in the house. Arshi demands to know why they aren't doing anything to bring Aniruddh back. Anjana says they can't interfere in that matter. Arshi, realizing Aniruddh deliberately didn't invite her, declares she will come to the function anyway to support Aditi—proving that she still refuses to accept Jhanak's place in the family.

At the function venue, Koushik meets Aditi and congratulates her. When a confused Aditi asks why, Koushik reveals he heard there is a surprise planned for Rishi. He tells Aditi that he is there to witness Jhanak receive her award and that his organization has also decided to honor Jhanak.

Aditi tries to deflect by saying Rishi is waiting for her. Koushik takes the opportunity to praise Jhanak and remarks that he should thank God he was saved from Aditi. Stung by his words, Aditi insists Rishi will never leave her, but Koushik tells her to keep living in her dreams—a sharp exchange that underscores how isolated Aditi is becoming.

Arshi arrives and finds Aditi, questioning Koushik's presence. When Aniruddh arrives with Jhanak, he politely invites both Jhanak and Aditi to go inside. Aditi questions his politeness, and Arshi confronts Aniruddh about not inviting her. Aniruddh bluntly tells Arshi he didn't want her there.

He tries to speak with Aditi, but she cuts him off, declaring everything is over between them. The atmosphere shifts when Rishi and his family arrive. Dadabhai proudly tells Jhanak he is proud of her. Rishi asks Jhanak if she is fine, but Jhanak notices Aditi holding Rishi's hand and simply replies that she is fine—masking her heartbreak behind a composed exterior. In a surprising turn, Abhimanyu apologizes to Jhanak for his past rude behavior. Rishi then says he also has something to tell Jhanak, leaving everyone curious.

Precap:

Jhanak says she just did her responsibility. Rishi gets a glimpse of his past seeing the villagers' performance. He gets up and screams, saying he doesn't want to see the dance. Abhimanyu asks Rishi to calm down. Will the Simulboni dance performance unlock Rishi's buried memories?

Our Take:

This episode masterfully builds tension ahead of the award ceremony while exposing the fractures in every relationship. Jhanak's pain is palpable—she loves Rishi deeply but has accepted that he may never remember her, and her refusal to accept the bravery award reflects her belief that saving Rishi was an act of love, not bravery. Aniruddh continues to impress with his genuine transformation, offering prayers for his daughter's happiness and maintaining hope for a reconciliation between his two daughters.

Rishi's behavior toward Aditi is telling—his irritation at her controlling nature and his refusal to let her dictate his choices show that his subconscious resists Aditi's presence in his life. The fact that he calls Aditi ungrateful for not appreciating Jhanak's sacrifice speaks volumes about where his heart truly lies. Aditi's desperation is growing, and her constant need to assert ownership over Rishi is pushing him further away. Koushik's sharp words to Aditi serve as a reality check she desperately needs but refuses to accept. The stage is set for a dramatic confrontation that could change everything.
