Jhanak 17th March 2026 Written Update: Will Rishi's Family Accept Jhanak?

The 17th March 2026 episode of Jhanak opens with an emotionally charged confrontation between Jhanak and Rishi in Simulboni village. Jhanak questions Rishi about why he forgot their marriage, stating that if their relationship was truly valuable to him, he wouldn't have erased her from his memory. 

Her pain is evident as she reminds him that she left his life only because he forgot her existence. Despite her hurt, Rishi desperately pleads that she is his life and he cannot simply walk away from her.

The tension escalates when Veer intervenes, telling Rishi to leave as Jhanak has returned to her village and Rishi should go back to his wife Aditi. Rishi firmly declares that Aditi is not his wife as he has divorced her, and Jhanak is his true wife. Parashar acknowledges that they know Jhanak is Rishi's wife, but the world doesn't recognize this truth. 

Sakhi adds a crucial condition—Rishi must prove to everyone that Jhanak is his wife and his family's legitimate daughter-in-law before they will allow her to leave with him.

Rishi shows his determination by expressing willingness to announce in front of all villagers that Jhanak is his wife. However, Sakhi expresses doubt, fearing he might forget Jhanak again. When Rishi defends himself by asking what his fault was in losing his memories, Mangal points out the painful truth—Rishi remembered everyone except Jhanak, and that was their real problem. 

Parashar, protective of his daughter, states that Jhanak is not a toy to be played with. He demands that Rishi's family come to Simulboni and formally request permission to take Jhanak with proper respect and rituals.

Rishi promises not to let anyone separate his wife from him and vows to bring his family to complete all remaining post-marriage rituals. Jhanak becomes emotional hearing his commitment. In a touching moment, she worries that Rishi must be tired and hungry, though no one offered him food. 

As Rishi leaves, understanding that Jhanak hasn't forgiven him yet, Jhanak breaks down crying in Parashar's arms. Later, she opens up to Parashar about her conflicting emotions, questioning why Rishi only remembered Aditi. Parashar shows her old photographs of Nutan, leading to an emotional conversation where Jhanak reassures him that despite accepting Aniruddh, no one can replace Parashar's place in her heart.

Back at Rishi's home, his family questions why he left without informing them. When Rishi explains Parashar's conditions for Jhanak's return, his family shows surprising support. Abhimanyu admits they made mistakes and agrees to accept Parashar's conditions. 

However, the situation becomes complicated when Aditi arrives, claiming to still be Rishi's wife. Rishi confronts her firmly, accusing her of manipulating and taking advantage of his memory loss. He makes it crystal clear that his marriage with Jhanak is not a joke and demands Aditi leave his house.

 Despite Aditi's emotional pleas and claims of genuine care, the entire family stands with Rishi. Tanushri, Indumati, and others ask Aditi to let Rishi be happy with Jhanak. 

In a dramatic moment, Aditi curses Jhanak before leaving, saying she cannot keep Rishi happy. The episode ends with Aniruddh, Dritimaan, and Sanjhbati arriving at Parashar's house in Simulboni, where Jhanak emotionally embraces Sanjhbati.

Her manipulation has been exposed, and it's time for her to focus on her own life, possibly returning to Koushik. Rishi's family's decision to accept Jhanak is a positive development, though viewers should watch out for potential problems from Neelu. The question remains whether Aniruddh will get the opportunity to attend Jhanak's marriage, and how the family dynamics will evolve when all parties come together in Simulboni.
