The 9th March 2026 episode of Udne Ki Asha begins with Renuka implementing her new plan to control the household. Seeing that Sachin is consistently supporting Sayali, Renuka fakes a sudden bout of illness and chest pain. The entire Deshmukh family panics, and Sachin immediately rushes to his mother’s side. Renuka uses this opportunity to gain sympathy, claiming that the constant stress and arguments in the house are ruining her health. Sayali is worried but also suspicious of the timing of this illness.
In a major scene, Renuka demands that Sayali stop her flower business immediately. She argues that a daughter-in-law should focus on taking care of the sick elders instead of roaming in markets. Sayali is heartbroken because her business is her only source of independence and self-respect. Sachin is caught in a massive dilemma; he wants to support Sayali’s dreams, but seeing his mother "suffering" makes him feel guilty. He tries to convince Renuka that Sayali can handle both, but Renuka remains stubborn and refuses to eat until Sayali agrees.
Meanwhile, Tejas takes advantage of the situation to further poison Sachin’s mind. He suggests that Sayali is being selfish by choosing her flowers over Renuka’s life. Paresh, however, senses that Renuka is exaggerating her condition. He tries to talk sense into Sachin, telling him not to let Sayali’s hard work go to waste. Sayali, unable to see the family in distress, decides to make a sacrifice. She tells the family that she will put her business on hold to look after Renuka, which brings a victorious smile to Renuka’s face.
The episode reaches a turning point when Sachin sees Sayali packing away her flower tools with tears in her eyes. He realizes that his mother’s demands are unfair. Even though he is worried about Renuka’s health, he feels a deep sense of shame for allowing Sayali to give up her passion. He decides to consult a different doctor to get a second opinion on Renuka's health, suspecting that the "illness" might be a conspiracy to stop Sayali’s progress.
The episode ends with Sayali serving Renuka in her room. Renuka continues to act weak while secretly enjoying Sayali’s service. Sachin is shown watching from the door, feeling completely torn between his duty as a son and his responsibility as a husband. Our Take:
This episode was quite frustrating because of Renuka’s manipulative behavior. It is sad to see Sayali sacrifice her dreams for a lie, but it highlights her selfless character. Sachin’s internal conflict is very realistic, as he is a man who loves his family but is starting to value justice. We hope the next episode brings a satisfying reveal where Renuka’s drama is exposed in front of everyone, especially Paresh.
