Honestly, it was crazy nerve-wracking to watch! But even in her sleep, Anupama's instincts are just too sharp. Rajini fails, and you can see the frustration on her face-she even admits to herself that Anupama is impossible to trick, even when she's not awake.
The mood also changes a little when Baa comes with this sweet dish for Anupama. It was really sweet and motherly. Anupama tells Baa to feed her, and they share this hopeful conversation about things hopefully getting better. But of course, peace never lasts long.
Pakhi walks in and tells Anupama that she has returned Sarita's money. Then she guilt-trips Anupama about whether she really was going to let her own granddaughter, Ishani, rot in jail. Anupama's was a classic response-she basically tells Pakhi to get out before she loses her cool. You can tell she's already at her limit with all that family drama.
Then, things get even messier with a call from Khyati. She calls up the Shahs to invite them for Prarthana's baby shower, but it soon turns ugly. Khyati practically announces that she is going to make sure nothing of the baby's will be in the name of the Shah family. To worsen the situation, Vasundhara jumps on the call saying the child will be a Kothari, not a Shah. Baa is horrified; she begs Anupama to save the family bond from what is now being brainwashed into Prarthana.
Meanwhile, Rahi and Prem are at Rajini's place with their speculations. Rahi is almost sure she is privy to some redevelopment papers, but Rajini and Varun manage to hide them in time. We see Rahi beginning to sense that Rajini is not as sweet as she pretends to be.
Anupama, on the other side of town, dresses up like Santa to spread some Christmas cheer-the result being that she saves a girl named Prerna from an accident. Prerna turns out to be a huge fan of Anupama from her days as Superstar Chef.
They end up celebrating together, but the ending of the episode left us with a huge cliffhanger. Ishani gets lured into a dangerous trap in a red-light area, and the place is raided by the police! We believe that this is exactly the kind of mess Anupama was trying to keep her daughter out of. A tense week is definitely ahead.
