Tulsi tries to keep the peace in Shantiniketan throughout the day. She also feels that Mihir is concealing a new kind of tension. His silence and being lost in thought make her more anxious than if he had spoken to her.
Noina keeps feeling as if she has been trapped from all directions. She is furious at Mihir for deciding to give every asset to Tulsi. Her insecurity gradually transforms into rage and reckless impetuous thoughts.
Raman is very good at continuing to upset Noina and make her jealous. He tells her that Mihir always prefers Tulsi to her. Noina assumes that only Raman understands her and gives her value.
