Today's episode of Yeh Rishta Kya Kehlata Hai was a complete emotional roller coaster, and we really feel for Abhira right now. It opens with her nervously awaiting for Arman as small Myra gambols around her. She is taken aback when Arman is absent but she is instructed to bring some files to Shrishyam Mittal's workplace.
Why does he work from there? He has, then, assumed Meher Mittal's case. Though we find it a little hazardous, Arman is convinced it is self-defense rather than homicide. He asks Abhira to trust him; she does, giving over Akshara's savings to lighten his burden.
Christmas festivities are going on back at the house, but Arman is too engrossed in labor to attend. Abhira dresses as Santa for Myra to keep the spirits up, pointing out that Arman is like a warrior fighting to recover her family's honour.
But the party turns sour when a Poddar Associates nameplate actually snaps. Seeing it as a horrible omen, Kaveri is crushed but Abhira rescues it right in time. We saw Kajal too becoming highly agitated; she is concerned for Krish and, honestly, she should be.
The shot switches to Krish; man, it's difficult to watch. He is drunk and feeling disowned, and runs into those same thugs who attacked Abhira earlier. They completely cajole him into a sick wager. Should Arman lose Meher's case, they donate Krish fifty lakhs.
What if Arman prevails? Krish must accompany Abhira to meet them. In his intoxication, he imagines they simply wish to apologize to her. Someone is even filming the entire affair, which is a big trap.
Abhira sets coffee and cake at the office ending the day. But then comes the blow: Arman instructs her to stop cases and only concentrate on the family for the present. He claims he can only restore the company if she is the one keeping the house together. Abhira simply stands there, utterly dumbfounded.
It feels like she is losing her own identity while trying to save his. The precap indicates Arman has made a great error he is not even aware of yet; Abhira will try to secretly fix it. Surely concerned this secret will soon explode on her face!
