The long corridor of the Virani palace serves as the backdrop of the episode. If anything, the stillness surrounding the family added more meaning to what happened in court today. Mihir stood at the huge bay window-nothing less than drained but firm.
There was a kind of dread in the atmosphere heavy only when one feels the huge reserve of a secret about to explode. Mitali comes in, trying to act nonchalant, but the slight tremor in her hands revealed the anxiety beneath. She started talking about inconsequential things around the house, but Mihir did not even turn around at first.
The conflict flared when Mihir finally turned towards her. Cold disappointment filled his eyes, and it was hard to watch, really. He laid bare the manipulation she's been putting forth under everyone's back.
No loud screaming-this was way more intense because of how controlled his voice remained. Mitali tried to put forth a defense, talking of family good, but we could see Mihir not buying a single word of it. Usually so patient, it was a real eye-opener to see him so angry.
As we go deeper into the scene's continuity, we have Tulsi coming in-and, of course, she is always the one holding the home, and she tried her very best to mediate. Yet today, the crack in the family was too deep even for her to fix right there and then.
It flashed so real with all interrupted dialogue sentences and people talking over each other in frustration. Mihir basically tells Mitali that she has crossed a line that can't be uncrossed. Mitali's self-confidence could visibly break in that moment; it was very emotional, showing how down-trust is so highly fragile in that house.
Mihir was left standing with everyone from the Virani family, who had come by now, feeling the storm brewing. There was this eerie feeling between them. Mihir took a decision that left everyone shocked, and Mitali stood alone in the middle of the room.
The last shot shows Tulsi staring at her husband, realizing find out that this very peace they had worked hard for would not survive long. We think whatever follows from this is going to completely change the power equation within the mansion; it is going to be a rough ride from here for Mitali.
