The Family Man 3 Review: Manoj Bajpayee’s Show Returns After 4 Years – But Is It Worth the Hype?

The Family Man 3 Review: Manoj Bajpayee’s Show Returns After 4 Years

The‍‌‍‍‌‍‌‍‍‌ Family Man Season 3 – One of the most anticipated web series in India finally premiered on Amazon Prime Video on November 21, 2025, with 7 episodes (all of them released together)!

Each episode is about 40-55 minutes long, so you can easily binge-watch the whole season in one weekend (approximately 6 hours in total). Raj & DK are back as the writers and directors, with Suman Kumar and Tusshar Seyth also directing a couple of episodes each.

After the phenomenal success of the first two seasons, the question everyone was asking was: can Srikant Tiwari still work his magic? The verdict is – the show is thrilling, emotional, and great acting packed, but it also feels somewhat stretched and ends in a cliffhanger that left a lot of fans quite upset.

What’s the story this time?

Srikant Tiwari (Manoj Bajpayee) is once again saving the country at the cost of his family going downhill. The season opens with fatal bombings in the Northeast, and Srikant is pulled into a mission that is dangerous and involves the rebels, the Myanmar border, and a huge conspiracy.

It is the first time that Srikant is not simply chasing criminals, but his agency is after him! He goes on the run to protect Suchi and the children. So, be ready for non-stop thrill, touching family scenes, and some jaw-dropping action in the jungles of Nagaland.

Who steals the show? Manoj Bajpayee as Srikant – the king still! He is simultaneously tired, hilarious, emotionally crushed, and badass.

Jaideep Ahlawat as the antagonist Rukma – absolute fire! This guy is intimidating, clever, and in the end, you almost get the point of his doing what he’s doing.

Priyamani as Suchitra – at last, gets more time on the screen and does not falter once.

Sharib Hashmi as JK – still the funniest sidekick on Indian OTT.

Nimrat Kaur, the children, Gul Panag – all are good, but Jaideep and Manoj are simply in a different league.

Direction, action & technical stuff

The fight scenes are of the highest standard – that starting scene in Nagaland is beyond belief! The Northeast areas are stunning, and the background music is very engaging. Raj & DK’s offbeat humor is still alive (JK’s one-liners are of great value), but the middle episodes are a bit dull due to too much talking and too many sub-plots. It’s also true for some of the twists that you will figure out 10 minutes before they are revealed. What is terrific Manoj vs Jaideep scenes – nothing but pure power!

Real family emotions that hit home.Showing Northeast finally in a big Hindi series. What doesn’t work Super slow in episodes 4 and 5.It ends in a huge cliffhanger – no proper closure!

It feels like the plot of the third season was stretched just to prepare for the fourth one.

Final verdict

Rating: 3 out of 5 stars – good, but not the masterpiece we were hoping for.

The Family Man Season 3 alone, is a must-watch for the performances of Manoj Bajpayee and Jaideep Ahlawat – their face-offs are better than what you see in most Bollywood action films.

If you were a fan of the first two seasons, then start watching right away. But in case you had been waiting for a perfect ending after a span of four years, you might feel somewhat disappointed.

Nevertheless, it is still a good binge for the weekend – just be sure to have some patience (and maybe some tissues) handy! Available now on Amazon Prime Video. Go ‍‌‍‍‌‍‌‍‍‌watch!
