The episode opens up to the Virani house, which was full of tension. Tulsi has made up her mind to leave Shantiniketan permanently. Maharaj tries to convince her to stay with him by saying that he will also leave if she goes.
Tulsi calmly reminds him that this house is like a temple for him and he should not leave. Sobha is doing everything in her power to stop her but to no avail as she is bursting out with tears. Mihir is likewise there but silently, without uttering a word.
Tulsi remains resolute. She conveys that taking money from Mihir would be an insult to her self-respect. She tells Sobha that she cannot coexist with her father after what he has done and she has to become the guardian of the family. Closely hugging the photographs of Baa and Savita, Tulsi exits the room.
On the other hand, Hemant is with Pooja outside. He urges Tulsi to live with them and assures her that there will be no pressure to go back. But she is very clear with him, like a Lakshman rekha, and draws a line. Like a line in the sand, she tells him never to put her and Mihir in the same sentence again.
Hemant finds fault in it and says that though it is difficult, he does not do it, but Tulsi is adamant. Being with him would only make her think of Mihir and she has to be independent now. Hemant gets the point and wishes her strength, hoping for her safety.
Inside the house, Ritik is imploring Mihir to intervene and stop his mother’s departure. Sobha also tries to persuade Mihir, by pleading him with tears and words. Nevertheless, Mihir remains mute. Ritik is overwhelmed with despair. He is sitting in the temple and letting the tears for Tulsi flow.
Sobha consoles and supports him to the extent that she can. Ritik admits that he suffocates without her and even requests painkillers. Sobha tells that Tulsi felt deeply hurt because of the double betrayal by Mihir and that is why she will not come back. Ritik prays to Thakur ji, thanking Tulsi for loving them like her own kids and asking for her protection.
On the road without any company or support, Tulsi was walking without any destination. An auto driver wanted to offer her a ride, but she declined. She took a seat right in the middle of the road, stared at the sky, and asked Thakur ji to help her.
After that, Angad came. Ritik had called him. Angad says that he is willing to take care of his in-laws. Vrinda encourages Tulsi to come with them, and even touches her feet for blessings.
At their place, Malti consents to Tulsi's living with them but her tone is not very pleasant and there is a sting in her words. She becomes convinced that it won't be long before Mihir is coming to her, asking for Tulsi's forgiveness. Supriya is doubtful but Malti simply blows it off.
That evening, Tulsi is thinking of the promises Mihir had made and then broken, and in tears. Vrinda consoles her by saying that better days are ahead. Tulsi tells Vrinda to sleep first, but she soon takes rest too.
The final scene is a very soft and heartfelt one, raising the question of how Tulsi is going to start her new life.
