The episode of Yeh Rishta Kya Kehlata Hai on 9th December 2025 begun with Abhira feeling bad for writing the wrong names on Myra’s project. She had Abhir and Kiara’s names in her mind but accidentally wrote Abhira and Kiara.
She was terrified about the aftermath and kept on thinking about it. Her worries, however, changed to a larger problem quite soon.
Arman, who was still angry, dropped a sorry for what happened between them but he was not changing his opinion. He said he wanted Abhir not to come close to Kiara any more. He considered that it was Abhir who made Kiara’s life bad and that he was just joking with her feelings.
Abhira, on the other hand, supported both of them and said that the two of them did nothing but the right thing, and that Abhir is the one who really loves Kiara.
Manoj was seen drinking heavily and alone, not able to accept the news of his unmarried, pregnant daughter. Madhav tried to bring some sense to him by telling him not to give up but instead find a way out.
Kaveri and Manisha were talking about Kiara’s future, and both were of the same opinion that society would not be able to accept a single mother, and therefore, it was the time for Kiara to get married soon.
Abhira spoke from the depths of her heart to Abhir and wanted to know if his love for Kiara was real or was it only because he felt sorry for her. Abhir admitted he didn't know the exact time when he fell in love with Kiara but he was quite sure that he can't live without her and their unborn child.
Honesty of his words made Abhira emotional but the real challenge was when they faced Kiara with this. Kiara confessed that she still loved Abhir but was afraid that he might leave her again. She said she had gone through the pain of love once and couldn't take a second time.
The show turned very dramatic when Arman showed Abhira a Supreme Court fellowship application, reminding her of their dream together. It was his wish that this would take her mind off the family quarrel.
On the other hand, Tanya hinted to Kiara that the best thing for her was to come out of the country if she could not bear the pressure, but Abhira was not changing her opinion and saying that no one should be allowed to force Kiara into making up her mind.
When the episode was about to end Manisha confessed with her own lips about her idea of marrying Kiara off to a divorcee so as to keep her safe. However, Kiara was not prepared to surrender herself to this fate.
The episode ended with Abhira taking the initiative to bring Abhir’s alliance for Kiara whereas Kiara sharply saying no, and therefore, leaving all the people present there and the future, a big question mark, in a state of shock.
